State Plane Coordinate Legislation
Each state has taken it's own approach on legislating mapping requirements. Horizontal datums and survey foot specifications have been defined in nearly every state; vertical datums are rarely legislated. Below is a table and accompanying map showing how legislation has been approached in each state, along with names of the bills in each state.
